I have been thinking about my Sydney having a best friend since she was 6 months old. It is fun to watch them grow together. I love that Allie can see right through Sydney's independence. They have a more mature friendship than a lot of adults I know. They love being together, but are secure when the other one is with other friends. Tell each other when they are bugging but love and encourage each other when they are sad. Sometimes there are just friends that you know you will have forever.
