Collar bone Carly

I was so proud of Carly and making the jr high soccer team.  She was too scared to try out last year but this year decided to give it a go.  She made it but sadly by the second game she had broken her collar bone in a game.  As soon as she fell down I knew exactly what she had broken.

She was so sad that her soccer season was over.  plus she learned she had to have surgery because it was too severe to heal on its own.
Everytime the surgeon would come in to check on her she would cry...Taylor tried to make it better by making her a playlist of songs she could relate to broken bones.  Mainly break up songs...like we are never ever getting back together and songs like that.

She made it and healed nicely with a metal plate and a scar for a good story.

2 days after surgery we went to the Maroon  5 concert to help all of us feel better for different reasons...me turning 40, Taylor moving her senior year and obviously Carlys broken bone.

Too my surprise and everyone else she healed and was able to finish the last two games.  A little tentative but dont blame her.  Her very first minute in the game someone threw a shoulder into her collar bone and I got sick.   Love her for wanting to push herself.

Our house sold

3 weeks ago we listed our house to sell.  When I drove home and saw this on my lawn I started to cry.  Scott thinks I am bizarre but i have an attachment to this house of 11 years.

Despite our best efforts of trying to sabotage someone from buying our house....
Taylor's sign that says..."this house is nasty and moldy and full of rats"

Brody stealing open house signs

Our house sold and this is the exact face Taylor made when we told her our last time at Disneyland.

It was so sitting that we spent out last day at disneyland getting this news.

We ended having a bitter sweet day at the happiest place on earth.

A tender mercy was that soarin over California our favorite ride was open and it has been closed all year.  I think the girls videotaped the whole ride.

Thanks Disneyland...I remember when our passes were 100.00 for the year...now they are 300.00 for the year.  Time to move on for the Rowe family

Back in time

Today is the day I am going back in time and catching up on the last 6 months

8th grade 2015 class graduation.  Basically means nothing but going on to high school.  My favorite memory of the day is how high carly's shoes are.  She had to practice for days walking around the house in those wedges.

Still hasn't fallen!!

Walking and giving a high 5!!!

She was really emotional when it ended and I am sure some people were wondering why an 8th grader would be so sad.  But she is really saying goodbye to all of her friends since Kinder.  She knows everyone and everyone likes her.  I worry about her going from knowing everyone to not knowing anyone in Texas.

Some of her friends

Some of her man candy strand!!!  Kobe has been our neighbor since she was three and they have been best friends at school and in the neighborhood.   She was excited she was his height with her shoes on.

One of my favorite photos with her friend putting balloons in her face.

Finally my graduation photo....jumping in front of the school.

Brody is 7

No secret that December birthdays are hard.  I think we nailed it with Brody this year.  Carly made him a football cupcake cake.

The main highlight was going to med-evil times dinner theater.

Apparently the food was better than my food because you got to eat everything with your hands.

I love the dressing up part.  He said it was the best birthday he has ever had.  To be honest I think it is his first birthday party he has ever had.

Happy 7th birthday Brody!!!

After Christmas in Utah

So much snow in Utah this year...we went to say goodbye to Lynn and Judi who are leaving on their mission to Brazil

A lot of firsts this year....Taylor plowing the snow...Brody peeing in the snow

Went to BYU basketball game

Brody got a cougar souvenir...We wanted to name it Pussy Cat...Brody freaked out and said no....Cougs.
One of my favorite moments all Christmas was Sydney teaching Brody to Ice Skate,

Sleeding is always a must

New Years Day

Many years ago I went to the Pasadena Rose bowl parade and talked to a guy all night long.  19 years later I have had 4 kids with that guy and my kids have never been to that parade.  I had to take them before we left California.  We got up at 4:30 am and went to get our spots.  It was as amazing as I remember.

Love you California!!
