Joys of Motherhood

In case you can't read it..." My friends...Dad, Taylor, Carly, Brody, Allie, Daddy (I am sure just for emphasis Dad was repeated) My UN friends joy, mom, mommy. (notice the UN is circled so I know how mad she is)
As if that is not enough to punish me... I get a drawing of me in an ugly outfit in the rain...notice the sun is covered up with gray clouds. I guess she was really mad at me.

Weed Eater

Remember our new pet...Cinnamon. I am not an animal lover but I am a weed hater. I have been so bugged by the weeds in the backyard I decided she needed to earn her keep. No we don't have any flowers she can eat--just palm trees which she does not enjoy. I actually have a perfectly designed yard so a bunny can run around and not get out. I am starting to love her(like her)...plus she can exercise and keep her New Years resolution of not being a chubby bunny.

Old Man on Campus

Every Christmas we take our kids to BYU...well, the BYU bookstore...to get some cougar pride. Most of the time I walk in, go get my copy of the Daily Universe and feel like a college student again. Then, I look down at my 4 kids and realize how I don't fit in anymore at the Y. I really felt bad for Scott when we were walking by this booth of students who were trying to get people to sign up for student credit cards. They asked him if he had a son or daughter who was a student at the Y and did he want to sign them up for a credit card. He looked like he was about to cry...then he angrily said no...this 12 year old is my oldest. I couldn't help but crack up to see how shocked he was. I told him he is 38 and I have been trying to convince him to get rid of some gray. It was a huge reminder just how far we have come...but maybe....just maybe they thought I was his daughter in college? GO COUGS!!!

High Tech Gadget

It is 2011 and we have so many amazing gadgets to make our life easier. Great inventions that my kids want that are never under $100. There seems to be always an upgrade and some friend always has more. This is Brody crying on the ice...I am sure he is thinking that skating is so hard that there has to be something invented in the year 2011 to make this easier. Look no further...

THE BUCKET!!!

After he discovered the bucket we could not keep up with him on the ice. I could not believe how fast he was and not one fall. He would not let go of that thing for a million cookies.

Looks like Carly needed a bucket!!

Great Start to 2011

I could not call this a Christmas miracle because it is after Christmas. Are there New Year's miracles? My doctor said I would not be ready to go skiing this year...I think I will send this picture to him.
