Football Playa

I would not say that my son is tough...he does have 3 older sisters...he is the baby.

So, I signed him up for football.

This could have gone one of two ways....#1 He runs for cover and hates it because it is too hard or #2 He loves it and can suck it up.

The very first day of practice the coach actually kicked a 5-year old off the team. I mean physically picked him up and told him if he did not want to listen and participate then leave. He was not wasting his time on him. Granted, I have never been around football coaches but I thought you might give 5-year old's a break. NOPE.  I actually loved it and wish you could have seen all the other boys faces...FEAR.

Time to grow up and be a man...a 5-year old football "playa" man.

How quickly he toughened up.  He loves it.

They actually gave them a play book. Brody came home and told me he was the RB.

They even make them take a knee while they are waiting their turn.

Of course there is lots of running for not doing things right.
.

My favorite picture of the day...after lots and lots of running. His coach told him to do 10 push ups and sit ups every day. Brody does them and then looks for his 6 pack....nope not their yet. His coach told him he needs to buy the Madden football video game.  Now I can support everything else, but that is where I draw the line but for some reason his Dad was very supportive of this last one.

Back to School

Wishing we were still here enjoying our summer vacation....but we are not.

We are here...Back to school!!

7th grade...Jr high...Big sis already taught her how to unlock a locker.  That is the biggest problem in Jr high, right?

10th grade...Sophomore...so glad not to be booed as Freshman at school assemblies.  I am sure you are not going to boo the new Freshman since it made you feel bad..."Heck yeah I am booing them."  Glad to see some things never change.  Not sure if I like the camo but she loves it...I grew up in the south so camo was really only used for hunting...I guess not so much hunting in So Cal.

5th grade...first time she has ever gone to school without Carly...a little sad.  Love her teacher that both her sisters had for 5th...she is called "Little Rowe."

Hoping these two going to school together can help bring them together as friends.  She has to walk him every day.  So far so good.  The first few days I sat and watched in my car...just to make sure.

Now my baby...my last kindergartner.  He made a 0 with his hands since he is in 0 grade

Don't know what this pose was?

Happy to buy BOY back-to-school items.

Everyone asked me if I cried...actually no.  How could I cry when he was posing with the double guns.  Just proud not one of my kids has ever cried leaving me for Kinder.  Don't know if I should be proud they are ready and independent and I have done my job...or they are just happy to leave me.

He let me walk him up to school holding his hand...as soon as we got to the gate to walk inside he let go and pushed my hand away.  "Mom, I am too big for that now!"  FYI you still sleep with a night light so you are not that big.
