As long as we were flying to Florida for a cruise...we knew that Taylor and Sydney would love to go to Harry Potter land. We made a stop by Universal Studios even though we have one in Cali...because there is no Harry Potter land in Cali.
The first morning we ran to Harry Potter land...I have never been at a park before it opens. It was worth it.
It was really weird having 80 degree weather outside with snow on the roofs.
Sydney and her chocolate frog.
Taylor and her $30.00 wand. We now have 3 sticks.
The ride was great and the lines were short since everyone was in school.
Can't get enough of that Butter Beer....it was good.
I think Harry Potter was Taylor's favorite part of the trip.
Brody loved the Marvel super hero land.
Our favorite family memory was Brody with his Wolverine claws. I am not at liberty to say who was involved exactly...but let's just say that a certain father figure in his life thought he would get a chuckle out of the older girls when he extended only the middle claw. They all thought mini-Wolverine was not paying attention.
Hours later, we were watching a Sponge Bob parade with all the characters. The Squidward character was targeting our mini-Wolverine taunting him trying to engage audience participation since he had his claws on. What did the little Wolverine do? He repeated what he saw...he slowly lowered the first claw and just as he had finished lowering the third claw and started to raise his single claw to Squidward, he was jumped by his father figure and reprimanded. I wonder who deserved to be reprimanded?
A better look at the claw.
Now to the cruise...Brody loved staring out at the ocean. This was our view from our Balcony.
Maybe he just didn't like his view. This was their view...the mirror.
Another guest....wanting to see my view. I don't know what it wrong with yours?
Everyone loves the free frozen yogurt poolside...i think we had 5 a day.
Someone taking this relaxing vacation thing a little too far. I guess Kindergarten is really stressful.
There was a cupcake shop on-board so Carly and I took a cupcake class...We made a dog.
Dinners were nice but long....
So we stopped inviting Brody because 2 hour dinners were too long for him. I was about to throw him overboard the first night. On the 2nd night his dinner chair was empty as he was at Kids Club.
It was a really nice dinner with more silverware and glasses on our table then I think I have in my whole house. Proud of everyone for trying new food. Everyone was proud of me for wearing my hair down...since I never do.
Who doesn't love the towel animals....penguin.
Syd was excited to get her soccer team colors with braids.
I loved being with my kids.
I also loved Taylor's cross country tan line on her legs.
Scott's favorite day was everyone snorkeling together in the ocean. He is close to getting everyone to scuba together....which is a million times better than snorkeling.
Brody did great even when we hovered above a 100-foot reef drop off.
These two never wanted to leave the splash zone.
I learned a lot on this vacation...well, the kids' vacation. You are never on vacation as a Mom when you bring your kids. Lesson learned for me...next vacation? Just Mom and Dad!!!!
