Winter Formal

The process of Winter formal Dress selection began in September.  She wanted to go with a date or without so we started shopping on a trip to Utah for a wedding.  We thought maybe we could find something different than what the girls would be wearing in California.

So we shopped and shopped!!

Finally found a dress that was half of what she wanted.  Grandma Judi knew we could turn the dress into exactly what she wanted.  So we bought it and faith in our seamstress.  It was long and she wanted it short with long sleeves.  So we used the material that we cut off to make the sleeves.

This is the before photo of the dress.

This is the after photo with grandma Judi...aka expert seamstress.  The more amazing thing was that she did it in one night because our flight left in the morning.  She stayed up all night and sewed so it would be a perfect fit.  Taylor said it felt like Christmas morning.  Now we had the dress but no date.

She got asked by a cute/funny boy

She replied...Yes.  Winter formal would be crumby if I didn't go with someone who is "Flamin Hot"...the box was filled with tons of chips

Awkward moment of the corsage and boutonniere that has been awkward for generations.

Before the dance photos

Double date

Crazy awesome hair...all her own.

Few extra friends

My favorite photo of her magical night.  Worth all the hard work by lots to make this night happen.    It is a lot of work and to think I have more dances and two more girls to go.  These memories last forever.

Rainy Disney Night

This was literally the best day night at Disneyland.  Raining and no crowds.  My favorite was riding the rides and feeling the rain in your face.  It adds a whole new element to the ride.

October/Novemberr

I have been not on top of my photos for my blog but still want some photos to be in my blog book for this year.  So I am doing an October/November highlight
B-Dawg played some flag football this season.  I spelled b-Dawg like b-Dog and had to change it because scott said that was too white.

Halloween is always a great time to take some photos..Ninja Turtle with pizza

Syd had to wear a hand me down costume this year...so she chose two costumes.

Always something on Halloween with Allie
These two carved pumpkins....not sure why I have no Halloween photos of Carly.  She was with her friends most of the time but she did participate in Halloween.

Taylor just wanted an excuse for pink hair
Syd switched to cookie monster so she could wear blue make-up.  Still dont know where Carly is?
Taylor got her wisdom teeth out...Said some really funny stuff on video.
 Got Disney Passes again.

Tried to find out way Sydney has so many allergies...no help.

I got a job...the kids act like I work 40 hours a week...I work 4.

Busy with Syd and soccer.

Carly won another Rec season...She was the MVP with 4 goals.

The biggest news of the month...We are moving to Austin, Texas.  Happy and Sad for many reasons.

Niagara Falls

One of our favorite days was Niagara Falls.

These are all photos of looking at the falls before we get on the boat to get close to the falls.

Now we are ready to near the falls.

They gave everyone ugly shoes with traction as we walked along the stairs.  When we first saw them we thought they were some sort of special Amish shoes because there were alot of Amish people around wearing them,  Then we figured out everyone had to wear then and they were nor Amish style.

We were actually hot under the plastic...but the spray was amazing.  We took these photos with our phones through ziplock bags.

I brought my own special poncho!!

Then we went to Canada for lunch...to get back into the US it cost each of us a quarter.  I thought that was interesting.
