 We got another teen in our house this summer.  Carl...she hates her nickname but all her friends now call her Carl.

Summer Catch Up

Now that the kids are back in school...it is time to catch up in random order.

This is Brody with his man crush...Mike Trout.  He went to get his hair cut for school and asked for his hair to look like Mike Trout.  Not happening...not cute.  This night he actually got on TV and said "Hello America!!!"

Love Mondays

My Monday...in random order...

One daughter in trouble for sleeping through her alarm and missing seminary (6am church class)...

Another daughter left the house in tears over her hair (it was perfect)...

Another daughter super excited to get up and get dressed because she has a new super cute outfit...

A son crazy excited he lost his tooth on Easter and gets to show his class today.  He has been walking around practicing saying S's all morning...

Husband stressed at work...

Me...has a broken dishwasher and has to hand wash dishes today.

So...I have been mad at one child..
Bugged and guilty (sending a child to school crying) at another child...
Happy and nice to one child..
Crazy excited for one child, (yet sad my last baby is not a baby...especially after my oldest baby got her permit last week)...
Worried for my man...and
Irritated I have to live like Little House on the Prairie today...it is only 9:30am.

Little Girl on the Road

I don't understand why you would let this cute little girl drive.  This is what I see as I look at her telling me she is all ready to drive...  Why does the DMV not see the same thing?  You are letting little girls drive...my little girl!  Congrats to my little girl for passing her permit test.  I find myself being sad and happy at the same time as I watch her reach her milestones.

Soccer Freedom

It is no big secret that Brody loves to dress up for everything.  It was the Captain America opening night so, of course, he dressed the part.  Scott made it worse because at the end of the movie he acted like his bodyguard and told everyone around "no autographs please"...Brody thought it was awesome!

Sooooo....fast forward to soccer the next day.  Brody scored a goal and was excited and raised his arms in the air and said  "FREEDOM IS OURS!!!" (a Captain America movie reference).  I am guessing he still thought he was Captain America playing U6 soccer.

Away Games in Vegas

We travel a lot with Syd's soccer but not usually out of state.  So Vegas was a special trip for some soccer.

Syd's soccer coach is all about building each other up and encouraging each other.  So they decorated a soccer sisters' hotel door and wrote notes to each other.

I don't know what they say...but they always have a prayer before each game.  

They played up a division this tournament...so some of the girls were a little bigger.  They always hold their own.

 I think he is praying that the game will be over soon because he has seen more than enough soccer this weekend.

A great group of girls--can't wait to see them grow up together.
